How to Log in to Science Tokyo Auth. System

Here is the instruction to log in to Science Tokyo Auth. System.
※ Those who try to log in to Science Tokyo Auth. System for the first time, please refer to this "Initial Settings for Science Tokyo Auth. System".

Access Science Tokyo Auth. System

1. Display log-in page on Science Tokyo Portal

Firstly, access Science Tokyo Portal.
When you scroll down on this page, you will find "Agreements on Information and Communication Infrastructure". After you have read carefully and understand it, please click the "Agree" button.

2. Enter "User Name (Science Tokyo ID)"

Enter your "Science Tokyo ID" in "User Name" field.
Click the "Next" button.
※ If you forgot your user name (Science Tokyo ID), please click here.

3. Enter Your Password

Enter your password in the "Password" field.
Click the "Next" button.
※ If you forgot your password, please click here.

Select Auth. Method that You Want to Use for Log-in

Select Auth. Method

Science Tokyo Auth. System uses two-factor authentication.
The auth. method you can use will be changed depending on which auth methods you set in advance.
※ Please note that the following screens might be different than ones you see.

• Click here for "OTP (Email) Authentication" (For those who want to receive one-time password by email.
  
• Click here for "OTP (App) Authentication" (For those who want to receive one-time password by App. such as Google Authenticator.
  

Passwordless Auth.

You can also set "Passwordless Auth." to log in to Science Tokyo Auth. System. However, it's difficult to verify all various authenticators. Please note that even if you use "Passwordless Auth.", "OTP (Email) Authentication" is required to set.

You can receive one-time password in the email address that you registered in advance when you log in to the System.

1. Click the "OTP (Email) Authentication" button.

2. Click green cloloured "Send One-Time Password" button.

3. You will receive the following email at the email address that you registered for receiving one-time password.

4. Enter the one-time password that you received in the "One-Time Password" field. Click the "Next" button and then you can successfully log in to the System.

You can use "App Authentication" to receive a one-time password on an app such as Google Authenticator installed on your smart phone in advance when you log in to the System.

1. Click the "OTP (App) Authentication" button.

2. Open "Google Authenticator" on your device.

※ Note that the name may be different depengin on your device OS.

3. You will see 6 digits number on the App.

※ Note that it's time-limited.

4. Enter the 6 digits numbers on App to "One-Time Password" field. Click the "Next" button and then you can successfully log in to the System.
